What comes to mind when thinking of Helsinki? This is something we were happy to think about, when contacted by the City of Helsinki to help them in hosting the WTCF summit evening event at Helsinki City Hall. Green gardens, sailing boats, twinkly lights and the sounds of the seagulls were some of the elements that we wanted to bring from Helsinki for our international guests. Previous weeks were spent figuring out how to build giant paper boats and how the city symbols like the squirrel or the maple tree, could fit in the picture.
Helping us to create the proper Helsinki party, were the green professionals from Helsinki City Garden and Arteflos, and sound&light magicians from Broadway. Naturally music played an important role, and Sibelius High School band & choir and the fabulous Helsinki-based FORK surely delivered! The tasty Helsinki-style food was served by Palmia and delicious drinks by Helsinki Distilling Company. The Finnair Event crew was there to gently guide and escort the crowds, together with many voluntary helpers. Thank you for this opportunity Helsinki City, Finavia and Finnair – this was a match made in HEL!
