Do you know the feeling when walking in the forest, that there is some bustling and fiddling going on? The trees are humming happily, squirrels are running around and foxes might have a game of follow-the-leader happening. This same feeling we wanted to create for our distinguished guests.
First we invited the Visit Finland VIP guests to join us in the Magical Finnish Forest under the green arches. Evening was filled with forest scents, power animals peeking under the trees and birds singing in the background. End of summer party in Berlin in March with lights twinkling and people giggling & having a good time. Oh what a night – did someone even dance Letkajenkka?
Then we moved this green scene to the world’s largest travel fair ITB Berlin and invited the 160 000 guests to take a walk in the Finnish forest – nature is our second nature! Fun photos were taken with flower crowns and many international versions of a summery pinwheel as well. Sending a postcard to someone special with a “I Wish I Was in Finland” -stamp on it was a must for many.
As with everything, the most important part in creating magic is a great team!
Joining us again this time were the always smiling chefs from Osa Food Design and Lasse Sakara with his band making it impossible to avoid the dance floor. In charge of everything green we had a talented German florist Sandra Ganser, with some back-up consultancy again from lovely Elina @ Arteflos. Making sure everyone remembered to write a postcard home, show their dance moves, take a photo with a friend and watch a clip of Ailo movie, were our super gang of students from Haaga-Helia Event Management class!
“We were so proud to host our Party like a Finn –evening for our most important clients and partners. The atmosphere were very Finnish: cozy but stylish. We heard so many times during the night and the day after that it was the greatest party of the ITB Berlin Fairs. Everybody enjoyed everything with all their senses – just as our lovely partners from Kelkkaprojekti wanted it to be! And that was not all – as the great idea to move the Finnish forest to the fairs for the weekend and get thousands of new fans of Finland by enjoying the most attractive stand with a sympathetic Finnish flavor. I am sure that also our neighboring stands were surprised, how Finland interests. Great work, thank you!”

“It was really nice to step in to magical Finnish forest! You could really feel the magic and healing powers of forest. After a busy day in the fair, this was a really calming effect, you could even smell the forest. There were a lot of activities, animals, photos, power animals etc. I am sure all of our quests also appreciated the decoration, good food, music and great company.
Respect for a well organized event! It gave us strength to be able to prepare for another busy day at the fair.”
